Public Speaking for Professional Development
This course will be offered in a 4-part series and has been developed to help participants strengthen their public speaking and presentations skills, build their confidence, and establish rapport with the audience. Special emphasis will be given to managing challenging situations during speeches, particularly when addressing a public audience and controversial topics.
Participants will have the opportunity to practice and deliver presentations in a safe environment with personalized feedback.
The 4-part public speaking series includes:
- Effective Introduction
- Establishing Credibility
- Relating Topics to an Audience
- Speech Organization
- Reliability of Informational Content
- Vocal Aspects of Delivery and Body Language.
Participation is required for all four (4) sessions.
Initial enrollment accounts for registration of all four (4) session
Location: Santa Fe Higher Education Center (HEC), Room HEC 209.
