This CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING is designed to empower staff with the tools and mindset needed to deliver exceptional service to the public. The session emphasizes the critical role city employees play in shaping community trust and perception through every interaction.
Through a mix of engaging discussions, interactive activities, and practical scenarios, participants will explore core topics such as:
- Effective communication
- Conflict resolution
- Cultural sensitivity
- Time management
- Ethical standards in public service.
The training also addresses the unique challenges of government customer service and provides strategies for handling digital inquiries and protecting citizen data.
By the end of the session, employees will leave with actionable skills to enhance professionalism, foster community trust, and uphold the city’s commitment to responsive, respectful service.
This is a half day training session, taking place on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 8am-12:00pm at the Convention Center in the Kearny Room (subject to change).
