Defensive Driving Class is scheduled for Wednesday November 05 ,2025 at the Transit Training Room (2931 Rufina Street, Santa Fe, NM 87507)
Every employee must adhere to:
City of Santa Fe Authorization & Operation of City-Owned and Leased Motor Vehicles Policy
11.0 REVIEW PROCEDURES/RESPONSIBILITIES
11.5 Employees: Employee shall:
11.5.2 Maintain in his/her possession the appropriate driver’s license and City driving permit at all times while driving on City business.

City of Santa Fe Safety Manual, Section 4.2 (b-c) states –“Employees shall possess a temporary City of Santa Fe driver’s permit until the employee completes a National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course. The temporary permit is issued by the Risk Management/Safety Division and is valid until Defensive Driving Course is completed or up to sixty (60) days; whichever is sooner. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that their driving permit has not expired.”
