Course Objectives: Course provides 4 hours of training on OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens. The primary purpose of the Bloodborne Pathogens Training course is to teach participants how to identify bloodborne pathogens and protect themselves against exposure. The course content and training activities will prepare participants to make appropriate decisions about preventing bloodborne pathogen disease transmission. It also will inform you about precautions you must take to eliminate the risk of infectious diseases that can be contracted through exposure and the proper methods of handling potential contaminants.
Who should attend: Any employee who through the course of their work may be exposed to blood or OPIM (other potential infectious materials) in the workplace.
